Is it time to rekey your locks?

It can be easy to lose track of how many copies of your keys have been made over time. Keys held by past tenants, contractors, neighbours and service personnel can create security concerns.

With a rekey by Lock Surgeon, these previously made keys will no longer open the rekeyed lock. You will now have the only operating key.

Removal of door hardware

We remove the handle and deadbolt from your door and with great care, take apart the lock so the internal pin system can be changed.

The meticulous part

Precision tools are used to create a new key that will now operate the lock. Once the new key is created and the lock pins have been changed, the old keys will no longer open the lock.

Just like new

After the hard stuff is done, the deadbolts and handles are reinstalled. New keys are cut and presented to you.

Finishing touches

If you wish, we can key all the locks to one key or split the keying into groups as needed.
